WTCKL MAKES THE MACEOS EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE MEMBERS

Oct 09, 2020

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 OCTOBER 2020: A new line-up of the Malaysian Association of Convention and Exhibition Organisers and Suppliers (MACEOS)’s Executive Committee members was announced to continue the glorious legacy that the association has built over the past years.

A representative from World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, Ms Oo Mei Ting was elected to join the Executive Committee Members for 2020/2022 as an Ordinary Committee Member. Other members include Tiffany Chung of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Phobe Kyo of Kyo Exh Connections and Melvin Shu of Smart Reg System SDN BHD, to name a few.

This involvement with MACEOS will encourage WTCKL to offer help for the committee as well as to exchange ideas, recommendations and suggestions that would be useful for the organization and the other members.

The diverse backgrounds of the new line-up will contribute to a wide range of abilities which will result in having a more significant knowledge base and will eventually lead to having better quality decisions. This also becomes a motivation for WTCKL to explore the connections and future partnerships that might blossom from being a member of the committee.

It is with pleasure to also share that Dato’ Sri Dr Irmohizam, Executive Director of World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur cum Chair of the Conference & Exhibitions Asia Pacific Member Advisory Council (MAC) for World Trade Centers Association (WTCA), was appointed as a Board Advisor of MACEOS on 26 October.

This appointment will create opportunities and bring forward the association into collaborations that will uplift the business sectors, especially in Malaysia’s Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) industry.

Other members of the Board Advisory of MACEOS include Dato’ Sri Abdul Khani bin Daud, CEO of Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), Datuk Wan Latiff Wan Musa, CEO of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE) and Mr Noor Ahmad Hamid, Regional Director APAC of Int’l Congress & Convention Association (ICCA).

We hope to achieve excellent outcomes with these appointments and to ensure that WTCKL is always ready to overcome any possible challenges that may arise in the future.
