Work From Home Guidelines and Other SEZ Matters

World Trade Center Kochi in association with Export Promotion Council for EOUs and SEZs (EPCES) and NASSCOM conducted an interactive session that brought together SEZ officials, subject experts and representatives from SEZ units to discuss on the latest WFH guidelines and SEZ matters. Mr. Boni Prasada Rao INMMS, Deputy Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone was the Chief Guest. He summarized the new WFH policy that allowed for 50% of the employees including contractual workers, and for a maximum period of one-year, for companies operating in special economic zones (SEZ).

Other guests included – Ms. Ashok Rani IRS, Deputy Commissioner of Customs; Mr. K.K. Pillai, Regional Chairman, EPCES & President, CSEZIA; Mr. Gokulnath E.V., Assistant Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone; Ms. Vinitha V., Assistant Development Commissioner, Cochin Special Economic Zone, Mr. Vivek George, Sr. Manager, World Trade Center and Mr. Sujith Unni, Regional Head, NASSCOM. Ms. Deepthi Alexander, Associate Director, Indirect Tax, BDO India gave a detailed presentation on Article 43 A of the SEZ rules, updates and the current challenges faced. The event conducted at Four points by Sheraton, Infopark had participation from Senior executives, HRs and compliance team of SEZ units and Co-developers. They were able to clear their queries with the panel.
