World Trade Center Kabul Celebrated its Opening Ceremony in Kabul

KABUL, AFGHANISTAN – 20 October 2020 – World Trade Center (WTC) Kabul opening ceremony took place on Wednesday, 21 October 2020 at 5:30 PM at Kabul Serena Hotel, Kabul - Afghanistan in coordination with the Afghanistan government, the US Embassy in Kabul and other key stakeholders. Founded in 2020, the new WTC is a licensed member of the World Trade Centers Association (WTCA) — a network of more than 320 highly-connected, mutually supportive businesses and organizations intimately involved in grassroots trade and investment in nearly 100 countries. The newly-established organization aims to help companies improve their export, import, investment and service performance as well as grow their business globally, helping the private sector to expand its reach and make a global impact. 

The event attended more than 200 delegates from government officials, policymakers, diplomats, leadership of WTC Kabul, WTCA (Virtually), leadership of International Chamber of Commerce and other national chambers, representatives from the private sector and others. Programming featured opening speeches and remarks provided by:
