WTC Jaipur in association with Alwar Chambers of Commerce and Industry and FIEO Jaipur organized a seminar on “Analysis of Union Budget 2019” followed by “a presentation on latest amendments in GST by GST Council and CGST Amendment Act”. The seminar was organized at conference hall, Alwar Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Alwar, Rajasthan.

Delivering  the theme address Mr. Himanshu Mahawar- Director, Auto Bushings, Alwar said “ there are a lot of positive outcomes in the union budget 2019 like introduction of a historic programme namely “Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN)” for taking steps to provide an assured income support to small and marginal farmers, mega pension yojana namely 'Pradhan Mantri Shram-Yogi Maandhan' for the unorganized sector workers with monthly income up to Rs 15,000 and reducing the tax burden from middle class families.”

Mr. Himanshu added further “as the income up to Rs.5 lakh gets exempted from paying tax, the consumer spending is expected to receive a boost. This rebate can prove positive for FMCG and auto stocks as it will put more money into the hands of the middle-income families. Hence the benefit will indirectly be received by the auto companies.”

Session speaker C.A. Pulkit Khandelwal-Director, S.K. Prolific solutions Pvt. Ltd. decoded the budget and shared the latest amendments in Goods and Services Tax law. He explained “changes have been introduced in relation to various areas including the reverse charge in case of procurement from unregistered persons, eligibility for composition scheme, ITC on motor vehicles, deals involving import and export of goods and services.” On SEZ,  he said “It has now been expressly provided in the Act that a person in a SEZ or being a SEZ developer have to apply for separate registration as compared to his registration in respect of the place of business located outside the SEZ in the same state or territory. Earlier the said provision was contained only in the CGST Rules. To rationalize such provision, the empowering provision is now given in the Act.”
