Witnessing rising demand for training in Export Import documentation , WTC Jaipur organized a session on Export Procedure and Documentation in Jaipur on 26th October 2017. Dr. Shikha Sharma, Professor , International Business and Economics, Amity University Jaipur elaborated the various aspects of documentation procedures and formalities followed by a discussion with the participants on how to make a successful career in Exports.

Dr. Shikha explained , “In almost all countries, a onetime licensing procedure to act as an Exporter/Importer is required to be completed. In India, IEC number (Import Export Code number) is required to act as an Importer or Exporter. She explained the various methods of payment in export contract such as advance payment , Documents against Acceptance (DA ), Documents against Payments (DAP ), or  Letter of Credit (LC ). To cover the credit risk against overseas buyer, she explained the role of ECGC . Dr. Shilka also explained the important -terms such as EX-Works , FOB , CFR , CIF , DAP , DDP . She also discussed  availing export finance from the bank for pre-shipment or post shipment against export orders .

Dr. Shikha further added, about the role of national quality check agencies like SGS ,BVQI etc. as per the terms and conditions between exporter and overseas buyer. She also explained the mechanism of international logistics for export.

The session was attended by 45 participants .
