To address multiple challenges faced by many exporters and strategic advisors to e-com portals WTC Jaipur organized a session on emerging trends in International Marketing and Expert resolution to challenges in e-commerce on 18th January 2019.

Mr. Siddarth Hansaria, Managing Partner, S. Hansaria & Associates and Mr. Anup Mittal, Co-founder, Anup Transforming Lives, apart from throwing light on newer methods to capture the imagination of new buyers and all possible ways for cross border client retention, presented a number of case studies ranging from small finance banks and NBFC to larger models of e-commerce in various countries, challenges faced upon and the positive outcome after a series of initiatives have been taken to ensure that customer loyalty is maintained and buyer behavior has been successfully predicted in international markets.

Mr. Hansaria said “customer experience is not limited to convenience. A loyal customer, online or off-line is one who feels valued, one who feels that their requirements have been served at every point in the consumer lifecycle, up to and way, way beyond the sale. Customer retention is an ongoing process, but its value is enormous. Put in the time and effort, and reap the rewards over time.”

Mr. Anup said “find the balance between offering a generous returns policy and managing the cost of those returns. Aim for convenience and low cost. People won’t shop with you if your policy is designed to deter them from returning things, so avoid tight time limits and refill fees.” He added further: “If your site appears to be a bit slow, some developer tool like those from google offers some recommendations. Using a CDN, or switching to a faster web hosting company, could give your site a boost.”

Mr. Anil Sharma, renowned strategist from Jaipur, said “In Export sales, research is paramount. We should first Identify the markets with a little dip stick research. Find the consumption / import figures of products similar to your own and the economic growth rate of a potential new market. Look up the demographics, cultural and religious practices and your potential competition. The race is already half won.”

The program concluded with vote of thanks proposed by Mr. Navneet Agarwal- Asst. Director-WTC Jaipur.
