WTC Jaipur hosts Exporter Meet at Alwar, Rajasthan

JAIPUR, INDIA, 6 January- WTC Jaipur hosted exporters meet in collaboration with JT. Director General of Foreign Trade, Jaipur and Alwar Chambers of Commerce at Alwar on 6th January 2017. 

The Programme was attended by over 70 participants from automobile, agriculture, mining, legal advisory, industrial paints and chemical sector. Major issues discussed were duty drawback, ease of getting Importer and exporter license, classification of exportable products and services.

Speaking at the session, Mr. R.P. Meena, Jt. DGFT, Rajasthan, said ‘In the present trend of import and export business, the transaction time and cost plays the pivotal role in sustenance of the business and its profitability. Hence, concerted efforts are needed at all levels to be proactive towards usage and implementation of the same. DGFT is one among the first in the country to be fully on EDI and now fully digitalized too and heading briskly towards paperless regime. It is also one of the first Govt. Organization in the country to be ISO Certified.”

Mr. Satish Raina, Jt. DGFT Office, said “Digitalization in DGFT has been augmented since one decade, and has been playing and instrumental role in heading towards paper less regime. The efforts started from making procedure of submission online in the first instance and with due acclimatization of the trade, was upgraded to “digital mode” to be operated through digital signatures to compliment the efforts with support of technology, now DGFT has already launched the E BRC (Bank Realization Certificate) through which all Banks are supposed to upload all the Banking Realization on dgft.gov.in which as a giant leap nearing towards paperless regime.” 

Mr. Navneet Agarwal, Asst. Director- Trade Promotions, WTC Jaipur, briefed the participants about the benefit WTC offers through its global linkages. Stressing on the need for customized training programs, he said, WTC Mumbai provides specialized certificate courses and MDP’s on Imports and exports which can be organized in Jaipur for the benefit of the business community.
