JAIPUR, INDIA - On 28 March 2017, Mumbai, India- Mr. Vijay Kalantri, Chairman , WTC Jaipur and Mr. Navneet Agarwal, Asst. Director , WTC Jaipur had a brief meeting with Ms. Nora K. Terrado, Undersecretary (Minister), Industrial Promotion Group, Philippines on 28th March 2017 at World Trade Centre Mumbai on the side lines of the 6th Global Economic Summit 2017 on “Women Empowerment”.

Mr. Navneet explained the Minister about the potential of Jaipur not only in terms of tourism but also for the sectors like, Textiles, Gems and Jewellery, Marbles, Pharmaceutical, Agro Industry, Carpets, leather & leather products . He mentioned that the high economic growth and stable political environment, rich labour pool and infrastructure support, abundant mineral resources and location advantage throws open a host of opportunity for investors in State of Rajasthan. Rajasthan has been investing in capacity building through the development of a strong institutional network at all levels. The State has renowned higher education institutions in various disciplines, producing thousands of skilled and proficient young individuals every year.

Mr. Navneet also shared about the activities undertaken by WTC Jaipur for the promotion of trade & business. Enjoying close association with various industry and association groups, WTC Jaipur is pioneered to bring world class infrastructure and benefits from global linkages to the existing and prospective members. Taking this opportunity Mr. Navneet extended an invite to the Minister to bring in business delegation to Jaipur, the Pink City. The Minister as well as Mr. Michael Alfred V. Ignacio, Commercial Counselor, Embassy of Philippines was very open to his suggestion and reciprocated with promising business ties in future.
