World Trade Centre, Goa in association with the Women’s Wing of Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted a talk on guiding entrepreneurs on developing their International business and upgrading their standards for the International market. The talk organized on 11 January 2018 at Panaji, Goa laid emphasis on facilitating International Trade with the United States of America.
Purnima Voria the founder and CEO of National US India Chamber of Commerce, Denver - Colorado who is a member of the Ivanka Trump delegation to India, was the key note speaker. In her address she encouraged Indian, in particular, Goan entrepreneurs to connect with US businesses. She spoke of opportunities and challenges for entrepreneurs post global entrepreneurship Summit 2017. She explained how businesses from two countries can work out and how she would help set up such ties. As the U. S. is a vast global market, entrepreneurs need to be ready for volumes. Ms. Voria commended the work already done in Goa to facilitate International Trade. She opined that a lot of work still needs to be done in mentoring, guiding, and making known the schemes available, especially for new start ups and women entrepreneurs who find difficulty in finding resources for their International Trade Projects.
Earlier, Dr. Jennifer Kamat, Chairperson Womens Wing of Goa Chamber of Commerce. welcomed Ms. Voria and the gathering and explained the role of the Women's Wing in Goa.
CA Ashutosh Kharangate, CEO of Mangal Advisory Services , gave a detailed explanation how GCCI with its 15 plus committees from various fields of business can facilitate entrepreneurs to create export oriented businesses and help strategize a connection for sorting out pros and cons of doing business in the foreign market which has high export potential.
The World Trade Centre with its worldwide network is in a position to promote trade to the next level said Mr. Cyril Desouza, Assistant Director (Trade Promotion), World Trade Centre Goa. He emphasized that the World Trade Centre is in a position to guide and assist entrepreneurs in seeking international business opportunities through the Global Network of the World Trade Centers.
Mr. R. S. Kamat, Director General GCCI moderated the programme and Ms. Noeline Mendonsa proposed the vote of thanks.
