Vibrant Gurajat Summit 2017

GIFT CITY, INDIA - The 8th edition of the Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit brought together heads of states and governments, ministers, leaders from the corporate world, senior policy makers, heads of international institutions and academia from around the world to further the cause of development and to promote cooperation. 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held delegation-level talks with Rwandan President Paul Kagame on January, 10 2017 and both leaders discussed a wide range of issues, and India’s increasing engagements as a development partner for Africa. 

The 12 member Business Delegation visited the site of WTC GIFT (Gujarat International Finance Tec) City as a gesture of assuring interest in mutual cooperation between the two countries in terms of trade and investment. The two countries have agreed to build and strengthen mutual commercial ties and hence be partners in growth. 

An interactive session and site visit with the business delegation from Rwanda was organized by VERBIND in order to ascertain various areas of cooperation and enhance bilateral trade.

An overview of WTC GIFT City was presented to the delegation encapsulating various features of the project, the various services being offered by WTC and VERBIND was also presented. WTC GIFT and VERBIND assured the delegation that the best of the services will be offered with regard to companies willing to invest. 

Following the interaction and the visit, the two countries have ensured to extend mutual cooperation to each other and find synergies that could open new avenues of investment and partner in India. The delegation appreciated the efforts of WTC GIFT and VERBIND and acknowledged its dedication towards growth of trade and economy between the two regions.

The delegation also ensured to strengthen trade ties between the two nations by supporting bilateral trade in existing sectors of export cooperation like pharmaceuticals, vehicles, plastics and machinery.
