WTCE Welcomes New President & CEO

Dec 18, 2014

The Edmonton Chamber of Commerce, operator and facilitator of World Trade Centre Edmonton (WTCE), welcomed its new president and CEO, Janet Riopel, to the organization in December 2014. Riopel has deep roots in the Edmonton community and considerable experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects. She has a long history with the Edmonton Chamber, acting as the organization's first female board chair in 1996, and has been proudly appointed the Edmonton Chamber's first female president and CEO.

Riopel has a strong vision for the future of WTCE. With plans set in motion to update the aesthetic elements of the space, Riopel intends to increase the use of WTCE by local and visiting professionals. She's also working to increase awareness of WTCE and the World Trade Centers Association by promoting the benefits of the local facility and global association in Alberta's greater capital region - a conglomerate of municipalities that surround Alberta's provincial capital city of Edmonton.

Riopel looks forward to strengthening global connections for Edmonton businesses and enhancing the WTCE brand.
