2017 Provincial Budget Luncheon

According to recent economic indicators, Alberta may be finally moving out of its current economic downturn. Though the provincial government expects to end fiscal 2016-2017 with a $10.8 billion deficit, GDP growth in the province is expected to grow by a modest 2.4 per cent. Economic indicators are also positive for new business incorporations, exports, oil production, retail trade, vehicle sales, and more.

Does this mean that Edmonton and area businesses should anticipate a robust economic recovery in the near future?
Most importantly, are local businesses still operating within the constraints of a challenging economy or has the climate improved sufficiently to enable our business leaders to once again consider plans for growth and expansion?

Join the dialogue on these and other key economic issues on Friday, March 17, 2017, as we’re joined by the Honourable Joe Ceci, Finance Minister, Government of Alberta for a frank and open discussion on the province’s economic outlook.

Scheduled to follow the official release of the 2017 Provincial Budget the day prior, this topical and newsworthy event is sure to provide Edmonton and area business leaders with much needed insights on the government’s fiscal and capital plans.

Following a keynote speech from Minister Ceci, attendees will have the opportunity to engage in an interactive Q&A session with the Finance Minister.
