Portugal 2020 Program Presented in Buenos Aires

BUENOS AIRES, ARGENTINA- On March 28, 2017, the Secretary of State for Internationalization of Portugal, Dr. Jorge Costa Oliveira, announced to the Argentine businessmen and professionals the benefits of the Portugal 2020 program and Golden Visa.

This first action led by the Portuguese Government, aimed to promote a Road Show in Argentina, to raise awareness of the attractions offered by their country.

Portugal, a member of the European Union, allocated a budget of 25 billion euros to promote the incorporation of new companies in the country.

The event took place at the Hotel Madero, located at the 1st dam in Puerto Madero, which was attended by more than 30 people who were very interested in knowing the current incentives for investment in Portugal and the internationalization of their businesses.

Sergio Frota, CEO of World Trade Center São Paulo, opened the conference; who was later joined by Dr. Jorge Costa Oliveiro, Secretary of State for Internationalization of the Government of Portugal; Dr. Luis Castro Henriques, Administrator of AICEP Portugal Global; Dr. Goncalo Almedia, Partner of Almeida, Dias & Asociados, and finally Dr. Carla Maia, CEO of GOE.

The event ended with a cocktail at the Hotel Madero's Winter Garden, where attendees were able to enjoy a warm evening to exchange ideas, talk with representatives of the Portuguese Government and generate business contacts.

The following day, the Portuguese delegation was received by the Chamber of Commerce of Pilar and Councilman Federico de Achaval. In the afternoon they visited the La Cantabrica Industrial Park where they had the opportunity to present the program to the businessmen of the Industrial Union of the West. 

The event was organized by World Trade Center (WTC) Buenos Aires in Alliance with WTC São Paulo which are both, associated with the International Business Development Consultancy.
