WTC Bhubaneswar session on Financial Literacy

World Trade Centre Bhubaneswar in association with HDFC and Hexagon Broking Pvt Ltd organized a session on Financial Literacy for its members in Bhubaneswar on 27 October 2018. 

The session was facilitated by CA Jagbir Singh. A chartered account by qualification Mr. Singh has expertise in areas of Business and Financial Planning, Accountancy, Managing Treasury operations, Tax planning, Building Project reports to secure Bank financing, MIS Reporting and Managing Statutory and compliance aspects with Central and State Tax Authorities, SEBI, RBI and Company Law Board. 

Mr. Singh in his deliberations explained about the basic aspects of handling finances. He made a detailed presentation highlighting the differences between savings and investments. He also explained as to how valuation of money trends over a period time and how systematic investments could build a strong base for business and financial planning. 

Mr. N.C. Patnaik, Director, Hexagon Broking Pvt Ltd. highlighted the various services provided by the company. He further demonstrated concepts such as creation of financial portfolios and online tracking of funds. 

Ms. Nimeshika Natarajan, Assistant Director, World Trade Center Bhubaneswar, in her address spoke about the initiatives taken by the Center under different sectorial think tanks. She further briefed the members about the trade promotion activities organized by the Center in the past six months. She also proposed the vote of thanks.
