BALLERUP, DENMARK - More than 100 businessmen and women, government officials and politicians were present last Friday at the opening of the new World Trade Center facility in Ballerup.

“The large number of guests present shows great interest in the advancement of the new World Trade Center facility on Danish soil”, said Ib Henrik Rønje, Chairman of WTC Ballerup in connection with the inauguration of the Center. The inauguration also featured talks by EU parliamentarian Bent Bendtsen and Mayor of Ballerup, Jesper Würtzen.

The goal is that the new World Trade Center in Ballerup will be an international center with a cafeteria, free parking, gym, conference and meeting facilities, staffed reception and will actively participate in the global World Trade Center network.

"We are very proud to welcome the World Trade Center Ballerup as a new member of the World Trade Centers Association. We are confident that the center will create new business opportunities for the tenants and the metropolitan region through the global World Trade Center fire and networks involving 325 centers in 92 countries," said Estelle Leclercq, Regional Development Manager Europe, World Trade Centers Association.

Mayor Jesper Würtsen is looking forward to good cooperation with the World Trade Center Ballerup, with a clear objective of creating a dynamic framework for international conferences and events of relevance to both established companies and entrepreneurs.

“The municipality is already working on making it even easier to operate, and we see the World Trade Center Ballerup as a natural partner when it comes to attracting businesses through initiatives that profiles the Capital Region as a whole”, sais Jesper Würtzen.
