Jan 25, 2017

ROGERS, AR, USA - The World Trade Center Arkansas is attending the Mexico Aerospace Fair (Famex) from April 26 – 29, 2017 in Santa Lucia, Mexico. The trade mission will be an opportunity for Arkansas aerospace companies to explore exciting commercial opportunities at an international venue which promises to attract more than 240 companies.

“The real attraction of Mexico is that it has become Arkansas’ largest trading partner,” said Melvin Torres, Director of Latin American Trade. “Arkansas aerospace products remain one of our biggest exports and the Mexican aviation sector is the 14th largest in the world, boasting more than $6 billion in exports and 18 percent growth in 2016. This is a real chance for companies to grow their operations by taking advantage of an incredibly lucrative region.”

Famex drew more than 200,000 visitors in 2015 which included more than 160 delegations and 15 participating countries. The 2017 trade show is expected to bring even more people and takes place at an 112,000 square meter venue at Santa Lucia Air Force Base. The Mexico Ministry of National Defense (SEDENA) organizes Famex through the Mexican Space Agency and Mexican Air Force.
