WTC Miami selects Algeria as "Country of Honor"

Aug 28, 2015

ALGIERS, ALGERIA - Geographical distance means nothing when it comes to World Trade Centers' reciprocity.

WTC Miami & WTC Algiers have been a shining example of collaboration over the past years, and have continued a strong partnership into 2015.

Last month, Charlotte Gallogly, President of WTC Miami, visited Algiers to promote the "Americas Food & Beverage Show", which WTC Miami hosts. For the 2015 event, Algeria has been selected as the “country of honor” due to its outstanding performance over the past seven years.

During her visit, Charlotte and Ahmed Tibaoui, General Manager of World Trade Center Algiers, met with representatives of official institutions, regulators and corporations to encourage Algerian companies to attend the show to sell their products to more than 11,000 buyers who attend each year. Algerian companies have been exhibiting as part of an Algerian Pavilion at the Americas Food and Beverage Show since 2009.

The Algerian Minister of Commerce along with Mr. Tibaoui look forward to leading a delegation of over 30 companies on the 26th and 27th of October to showcase Algerian products and companies in America.

WTC Algiers values its partnership with WTC Miami, and looks forward to expanded cooperation with the WTCA Network for the 2016 General Assembly hosted next April at WTC Algiers.
