"Export Trophy" 2015

ALGIERS, ALGERIA - The trophy of the best Algerian non-hydrocarbon exporter for "Export Trophy" 2015 has been awarded on Wednesday to the new Algerian Canning Factory of Rouiba, NCA-Rouiba.

NCA-Rouiba mainly produces juice of fruits.

Organized annually since 2003 by the World Trade Center Algiers,, this prize rewards the best Algerian companies, especially SMEs, in the field of non-oil exports.

The award presentation ceremony was attended by Minister of Commerce, Bakhti Belaïb, Minister of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries Sid-Ahmed Ferroukhi, Secretary General of the General Union of Algerian workers (central Union- UGTA), Abdelmajid Sidi Said, and the President of the Managers Forum, Ali Haddad.

In 2015, NCA-Rouiba, the first family business listed on the stock exchange, had exported its products to Tunisia for a value exceeding €1 million, CEO Slim Othmani told APS.

"This award reflects our determination to remove barriers abroad and introduce our products in foreign markets despite having encountered many difficulties outside. This prize encourages us to target other African markets, not only for exporting, but we want also establish ourselves in these markets," he said.

"Export Trophy" 2015 was awarded by a jury chaired by the WTC Algiers and composed of representatives of the General Directorate of Customs, the National Foreign Trade Promotion Agency (Algex), the Algerian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CACI ), the Managers Forum (FCE) and the National Association of Algerian Exporters (Anexal).
