Up to 80 Algerian public and private companies activating in several sectors are taking part the biannual event, which runs from May 14 to 17.

Dedicated to industrial subcontracting and services, the event is organized jointly by the Algerian Exchange of Subcontracting and Partnership (Bastp) and the World Trade Center of Algiers.

The "Show is intended to establish contacts between subcontractors and national customers in a bid to create true and sustainable partnerships to cover the needs of the national markets," General Manager of Bastp, Azziouz Laïb told APS.

Stressing that the priority for the Bastp is to develop the public-private partnership, Laïb said that it was time "to trust the Algerian companies" to boost the national economy.

However, he stressed the need for upgrading of enterprises, notably the private sector "in order to provide a quality performance in line with international standards."
