A new revolutianary Agricultural Training Program

The World Trade Center Algiers in partnership with the prestigious Algerian National School of Agronomic Studies along with an international network of experts in the field of Agribusiness and Agriculture have designed a sophisticated training program that has for aim to provide companies of the agribusiness sector a customized support for their business development .

The programme has been designed through a collaborative appraoch which was lead by Professor Hamid Bencharif who has been ,for many years ,a consultant for the World Bank, World Trade Center Algiers and lecturer in the Mediterranean Institute for Agricultural Studies .He was also behind several successeful Agricultural projects in Africa.

The main objectives of this program are :

  • The implementation of new approaches to support individual as well as collective economic initiatives in the sector such as clusters , professional associations, government institutions in addition to the privet sector
  • Develop new capabilities for companies through upgrading their mechanisms and management processes
  • Build value based on the concepts of territoriality in Agribusiness and facilitate local market development , including new international market penetration
  • Design and put in place innovative mechanisms for the coordination and animation of the sector through the increase of networking orientated practices
  • Enhance the experiences already conducted locally and promote international bench-marking to enable companies to be more competitive
  • Rethink the modes of international cooperation and ensure the sustainability of projects.

This  training program goes in line with the Memorandum Of Understanding signed by more than 40 World Trade Centers that aims to foster a collaborative framework between all Signatories with a view to benefiting from joint and separate initiatives to increase agricultural trade amongst countries where the signatories to this MOU are located, and to continue their collective effort to formalize a WTCA Member Advisory Council on Agriculture to further expand their initiatives to the countries of other WTCA members.
