WTCA General Assembly 2018

Dear Colleagues, Friends,

In Las Vegas, all of us from World Trade Center (WTC) Leeuwarden were delighted to receive the “Atlas Globe” to signify our city—along with Amsterdam—as the Host of the 2018 WTCA General Assembly (GA). All of our guests will be presented with a program filled with business and networking opportunities, alongside expert insight on worldwide issues that face us all, such as water management and food supply. We are also eager to show you the beauty of our country, the Netherlands.

Workshops, matchmaking events and site visits will be offered, along with special programming for our diverse Membership “tribes”: event organizers, trade services experts and real-estate-focused WTCs. Moreover, the agenda will not only serve Members of our network, but will also offer opportunities for your own Member companies to make contact with potential partners in our region and other WTCs.  It is not only an event to meet the Dutch, it is also an event where companies meet the companies of other countries.

After the Welcome Reception on Sunday evening, Monday’s agenda will offer insightful keynote speakers, a knowledge exchange on key industries, opportunities to learn about doing business around the world, and of course, a chance to “Meet the Dutch”.

On Tuesday, the WTCA Board and Management will report on new initiatives and take all of your questions, and provide opportunities for you to catch up with, and get to know, your fellow Members. We will then wrap up the day with a Gala evening you will never forget.

For the Tuesday we offer the companies inspiration tours with a focus on one of the sectors. A knowledge Institute, demo sides and companies will be visited that day. Because Dutch companies will be on the bus as well it will be a unique and in time chance to get the know each other.

After closing the event on Wednesday morning, and an afternoon sightseeing tour, our attention turns south to the nation’s largest city, where WTC Amsterdam will treat all attendees to a networking reception after transferring hotels and settling in to the “Venice of the North.”

Thursday provides more time to connect with local businesses and other WTCs in the Netherlands, before the week closes with a once-in-a-lifetime experience along the canals of Amsterdam as the entire nation celebrates King’s Day—an event you do not want to miss!

Stay tuned for updates and more information to follow in the coming months, but for now, remember to

Mark your calendars for April 22 – 27, 2018.

We hope to “Welkom ” you to the Netherlands!
