Annual Geopolitical Update

International trade is part of the DNA of the WTCA network. Recent global developments are constantly influencing international trade relations in substantial ways. The WTCA and the WTCA Netherlands Alliance of World Trade Center businesses invite all WTCA Members and their business networks the first annual Geopolitical Update on June 2 at 11:00-13:00 CEST, during which a new live site, the WTC Geopolitical Trade Index (WTC-GTI), will be unveiled.

Based on their role in the field of international trade relations, the Dutch Members of WTCA, known as the WTC Netherlands Alliance (WTC NL), and The Hague Centre for Strategic Studies (HCSS) have taken the joint initiative to provide the international business community with an annual update on what has happened in the past year in the geopolitical field, what possible obstacles (trade barriers) are coming up, and a preview of expected geopolitical developments.

The WTC-GTI will provide an understanding of the impacts of geopolitical events on global trade, integrating indicators in the diplomatic, military and economic fields to provide a measurable picture of the impact of geopolitical changes on global trade.
