Business Club Kick-off meeting!

The World Trade Center Algiers launched on February 12 at 6:00 p.m. at the El DJAZAIR hotel (Ex St George) the first meeting of the Algiers Export Club for the year 2024 under the theme “Securing international payments”

In his welcome speech Ahmed TIBAOUI the CEO of the World Trade Center Algiers member of the board of directors of the World Trade Centers Association,  presented the annual program of the WTC Algiers Business Club, which aims to supporting exporters in their international development through periodic meetings as well as economic missions in partnership with the 330 World Trade Centers located in 90 countries. Mr. Ahmed Tibaoui also announced that for the year 2024 Société Générale Algerie is officially the bank of the Export Club.

Furthermore, Mr. Julien STERENZY, Chairman of the Management Board of Société Générale Algérie who expressed his commitment and that of SGA to be at the service of Algerian exporters in order to facilitate their international transactions and this with the support of the Société network General in the world. Mr. Julien Sterenzy also affirms that Algeria has several assets necessary to export to several countries around the world.

For his part, Dr. Lachaal Lassaaed Special Advisor of the African Development Bank for the MENA region and representative of the AfDB in Algeria presented the various investment projects in Africa which essentially consists of infrastructure projects which aim to create corridors which make it possible to streamline intra-African trade. He also specified that Algerian companies wishing to export their services in the field of BTPH can bid for calls for tenders issued by the ADB to participate in the construction of structuring projects financed by the ADB.

Finally, Ms. Claire-Alix de Boissieu, responsible for payments, Ms. Soreya Badji-Kaci Head of Global Transaction Banking at Société Générale Algerie presented the different mechanisms that SGA makes available to exporters in order to secure their international payments .
